About Ivy
Ivy was a very loving, caring daughter, sister, cousin and, aunty, Ivy loved to make people laugh, she would chase us around the house, while using her electric chair (Wizzy Bug) trying to run over our feet, she would laugh hysterically. Anyone that came into Ivy’s company would always comment how she was so happy and that her smile lite up any room she entered. Ivy had a lovely friendship group both inside and outside of school, they would have little play dates, Ivy’s favourite place to visit was Longland Lake Country Park, on Ivy’s first angelversary we returned to the lake to release 4 beautiful white Doves, in loving memory of Ivy.

About Ivy
Ivy was born with Spina Bifida and faced significant medical challenges from the very start of her life. During her short time, she endured repeated hospitalisation and ultimately sepsis, which led to the devastating reality that her life would be brief.

Why did We Start The Charity?
In her final days, a Cuddle Blanket made it possible for Ivy to leave the clinical environment of the hospital and be brought home, allowing her family to hold her, care for her, and spend precious time together in familiar surroundings. This simple but vital piece of equipment transformed Ivy’s final moments from clinical and constrained into ones filled with love, warmth, and family connection.
Ivy’s experience revealed a profound gap in support for bereaved families. The Ivy Project was created to address this gap, ensuring that other families are given the same opportunity to be together, to create memories, and to say goodbye with dignity and compassion.
